Well, I missed my weekend update last weekend because we were out of town. We went to see Alabama play Duke. Alabama won. Everything went great. One of Bobby's friends that he grew up with had a tent set up out there so we were able to sit and tailgate. It was a beautiful day. His friend sat with us at the game. Well, it came time to leave and his friend told us how to get back to the car. WRONG!!!!!! We walked and walked and walked and walked. Ended up in a residential area with no other people leaving the game or game traffic. Plus it was dark. We finally made our way to a major road and walked and walked and walked and finally ended up back at the stadium and started asking directions. Then we walked and walked and walked and walked some more. Found the right parking lot and then couldn't find the car. I kept hitting the panic button to no avail. Well damn, you have to be right up on the car for the panic button to work and then I didn't know how to turn it off! LOL We were so happy to see our car!! Other than that mishap, it was a super fun weekend. We drove by Talledega (race track) and they happened to be racing there that weekend. It was awesome to see. We had driven by it before but not on race weekend. It was so cool seeing all those campers and things set up. Bobby wouldn't let me stop though. :( But I got to test my car on a long drive and worked wonderfully. Can't wait to drive it to St. Augustine. Today, we took Claire to the fair. We went early to see a dance group from a church. It is a girl I work with who helped the youth with the dance on youth Sunday. I really enjoy her dancing. Claire "won" about four animals at the fair. Had me a yummy funnelcake and got a caramel apple to go! Now I'm gonna go watch the race!

Friday was Claire's cheerleading debut! She was a Griffinette! They went for practice for a few weeks and then cheered at the halftime of the middle schools soccer game....soooo cute in her little uniform! She did a great job! There were more people there to see the little cheerleaders than to watch the game. Then it was Fall Festival. Erin had to help serve food and the rush off to go see "Rent" at the Peace Center. We stayed for the festival and my nephew came so him and Claire had a grand old time. Yesterday we went to the Wofford Furman football game (big local rivalary) and our team (Furman) won...so that was fun. Next weekend we are going to Alabama to see them play Duke (I think). That is big time football! We will get to see how the little Honda does on a long drive before I drive it to St. Augustine! Thats my update for now....gotta get ready for youth group.
