Walterboro

Okay, got back from Orlando Monday evening and left Tuesday afternoon for Walterboro to visit Judy for Mitch's birthday. For anyone reading who doesn't know, Mitch was mine and my husband's best friend who killed himself a year and a half ago. We were the ones that found him and it has been very very hard on us (Mitch and my husband grew up together, went on family vacations together, and then we me and Bobby were married, Mitch would spend about every other weekend with us). Anyways, Mitch's birthday was June 29 so we went up to be with his wife and stepdaughter. When we got there, me and Judy went to the liquor store (her idea) and she spent about $100. I drank one drink the whole time I was there. She drank Tuesday night. Drank all day on Mitch's birthday (started with kholua sp?) in her coffee and switched to bloody mary's. then she started talking about how she wished she would die and how she could just kill herself right then....real bummer. I told her it was time for her to take a nap and after that, she was fine. Alcohol will do that to you. The next day, we went to Edisto Beach. Me and Claire were ready to go after about an hour. We don't like getting in the ocean and don't like sand.....we are pool girls! LOL So we left. Then me and Bobby went out to Mitch's grave and left some flowers. The rest of the time, I spent relaxing. I watched more movies while I was there than I have in the longest time. Watched Racing Stripes, Dodgeball, Diary of a Mad Black Woman, Hitch...and something else? Oh well, I'm getting tired of typing. I'll catch up on blogs soon (reading everyones) and get some more pics up. There is no place like home!!!!! I was so glad to go back to work! LOL

I missed you Angie. I felt how close you were. So sad about Mitch. When we were in Walterboro (for lunch) the whole time I kept thinking "Who do I know from here?" So wierd that it was Mitch and I never really knew him, though our birthday are the same week. Life is wierd.

Glad your back Angie!!! I missed you! I'm behind on blogs - trying to catch up today!
Glad you got to spend time w/ Mitch's wife. I'm sure it means so much to her being able to spend time with her.
I dont care for the beach either - the sand ick and i wont go in the water. I'm a pool girl for sure! I like the beach to take a nice walk, and the view, but thats about it.
