Okay....so I played hooky from youth group tonight so I could watch the Daytona 500. And it was quite exciting. I was hoping Tony would pull off his first Daytona 500 win but he didn't....not from lack of trying though!
Claire won tickets to see Dora the Explorer on stage. She entered a coloring contest and she actually won!! She gets four tickets and meet and greet passes. She wants to take one of her little friends from school. We were supposed to pick up the tickets Friday but she has been sick. She came home from school early Tuesday not feeling well so Bobby made her a doctors appt. It was for 8:30 on Wednesday and thank goodness because she woke up with a 104 fever. Gave her Tylenol and it was 102 when they checked it at the doctor. She had quite a long morning...had to get her finger stuck and then had to go to the hospital to have a chest x-ray and take them back to the pediatrician. The verdict....a slight case of pneumonia. So it was antibiotics, breathing treatments, Motrin and cough medicine. She can't keep the cough medicine down though...it gags her everytime so we didn't worry about that. She kept her fever for several days....even as of last night, it was 102. She goes back to the doctor again in the morning so he can listen to her chest. School was out on Friday and tomorrow so she really only missed two days. Turns out there were five kids out in her class on Thursday. Hopefully everyone will be well for school on Tuesday. Oh, and Bobby has it now....the crud. Hopefully they can go pick up her Dora tickets tomorrow. They have to go to Greenville to get them from the Greenville News. I didn't think it would be open on Presidents day but turns out that is a federal holiday, not a state, so we'll see. Gotta go pick Erin up from youth group (which I ditched!)
