Screwed again
Yep, somehow I got stuck taking Erin to another concert. She wanted to go see the All American Rejects in Charlotte. She told Bobby she would buy his ticket if he would take her. So, she goes to the local ticketmaster to get tickets. BUT, when she gets them, she gets tickets to the Tabernacle in Atlanta!! She had bought three tickets...one for a friend....non-refundable. Turns out that ticketmaster doesn't sell tickets to the place in Charlotte and Erin didn't realize that until it was too late. So, to go to Atlanta, they would have to spend the night....so now I have to go instead because if I go, we only have to get one room but if Bobby went they would have to get two rooms. I soooo do not want to go. Not only that, but I can't afford it! I don't even like All American Rejects. How do I always end up in these situations. Plus, it is a concert hall....so no seats....ugh!!!! I checked the hotel that is right near the Tabernacle but it is like $100 a night so I found one off of I-85 that is about $50 a night. (I hate trying to find anything on the computer!) Geesh!
Well, Halloween is coming up. Claire is going to be the cutest little cowgirl. All in pink! She has a pink hat, pink cowboy boots (Barbie) and my mom made her a little skirt and vest and bandana. She has guns too, but as she told me, she can't take guns to school. I told her she could wear them for the Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat at church tommorow night! LOL Can't take a play gun to school but you can to church! How strange does that sound?? Erin is going to a party tonight and she is going to be a pirate. I'll have to get some pics. Took the Youth to a haunted trail last Sunday....it was pretty amateurish but they seemed to enjoy it. Oh and they are starting a Praise band....but as Erin puts it, they are calling it a positive rock band. I think the name they picked is maybe "Redemption"? Erin is going to play the cowbell! LOL Talented girl I have there!
Well, I have wasted too much time on the computer looking for hotels. Gotta go clean out the fish tank. Later!

feeling lazy
Yes, I am soooo lazy today!! I've read the paper and messed around on the computer...that is it!! Thinking about takeout Mexican for supper tonight....lazy! LOL It was a really long and yucky week at work so I just feel like relaxing!! Got the girls report cards today. Claire did really well but needs to work on her handwriting...making it neater. Erin had all A's and B's except for a C in Geometry. And I know she has been trying on this because she has been setting up tutorials before school. Her German grade was a B which she really struggled with last year. So overall I am happy with their grades. Tomorrow night, the youth group is off to the haunted trail. I guess Erin won't be joining us....although the other girls may talk her into it. The youth group is also trying to start a Praise band. They meet Wednesday for thier first meeting. I'm so excited for them. Our church also adopted a family from New Orleans. A mom, dad and 7 year old daughter. She just turned 7 and we had a birthday party for her Wednesday night. Bless her heart, she was so excited. They have been staying at Extended Stay American on a FEMA grant but we have a house for them and hopefully they will be able to move in this weekend. I haven't got to talk to them much but I hope they will be happy here in Spartanburg. Well....my boring life....thinking I may put a load of clothes in to wash so the day won't be a total loss....but then again..maybe not! LOL Later!

overwhelmed
Gosh, I have spent all day today washing, folding, sorting and boxing up Claire's clothes for the yard sale. It is totally overwhelming. Most of her clothes are sets and (of course) didn't get washed in the same load. Right now, I have about three boxes full, a load in the dryer and a load in the washer. Those are just HER clothes. I think I might take some of her nicer dresses to a consignment shop. Has anyone ever used one? Anyways, I have set a date for the yard sale....November 12. I had signed up for vacation days that Thursday and Friday for the loopie trip...but we had to postpone it. Since I already had those days off, I decided to keep them to prepare for yard sale. I hate having yard sales. But it is a good way to get rid of stuff you don't need and make money while you are at it. I'm gonna get Claire to get some toys together too and then she can keep the money she makes. The main problem is where to store the stuff until the big day. We play handbells in church tomorrow and I am so not comfortable with the songs. Oh well, people don't usually notice when you mess up. We are going to play Amazing Grace (which really doesn't sound like the song when we play it) but the youth are going to sing a verse of it too so that should be nice. Well, off to fold and sort more clothes. Ugh! Later!

75 is better than 5!!
Tony Stewart is leading the points chase by 75 points!! He was only leading by 5 points last week. He finished a good solid fourth in the race today. If he can keep that up and stay out of trouble the rest of the races, he just may be the 2005 Nascar Champion!! GO SMOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

rain rain rain
Well, we went for about five weeks with NO rain but when it started, it really came. It rained all day Thursday and then absolutely POURED rain all day Friday....and I mean poured all day!! There were roads flooding. But when it eased up, so did the roads. I didn't might not having rain because it meant the grass didn't need cutting! LOL Gosh, I don't have much to say. I've been slowly trying to get things together for a yard sale but not making much progress. I need to get my butt in gear to make money for my loopie trip!! Well, off to watch the rest of the race and then to youth group. Later!

sorry its been son long
I tried to get on Saturday to update but the internet was down all day. By the time it came up, Erin was home. Then I got on later and blogspot was down maintenance. Anyways, you haven't missed much. I think I complain about work too much and I know you all don't want to hear that but it is just so frustrating. Last Sunday, we took the Youth group to see a band called Driven. They were really good. And dorky me got a t-shirt and had them all sign it. :) Now, I have to figure out where we will go for our Halloween outing. It has become a tradition to visit a haunted house or trail. I don't know if Erin will go. She doesn't enjoy it. Last year, she bought a ticket but then chickened out. LOL
We had to buy Claire a tennis racquet for school. It is so cute.....little one. They have just been "playing" with it she says...they do little exercises to learn to control the ball and racquet. The girls are out of school Friday and Monday so Erin is spending the night with a friend tonight. Claire has a cold/cough and I have been having to give her breathing treatments....poor thing. And today I broke the stupid mask thingy that you put the medicine in so she didn't get it this morning. Bobby got another mask today but it doesn't have the part to put the medicine in. You can only get them at medical supply stores (which had all closed by the time I discovered this) so now we have to wait until tomorrow. I had hearing her cough like that. But at least she has a few days off of school. Since I'm not gonna complain about work, I guess that is all for now. I'll go catch up on everyone elses blogs. Later!
