Happy sweet 16 to my lovely first born daughter!! Hard to believe she is already 16. She got her drivers license on Thursday and the fun has already started. Bobby let her drive to bandcamp Thursday (which is from 4 to 6). Here is how the phone conversation goes after camp. Erin: Daddy, can I use the car to go out? Daddy: sure, but you have to have it back by 8:00pm because you only have your restricted and can't drive past then. .....pause.... Erin: okay. Few minutes later the phone rings again. Erin: Daddy, Lara's mom lets her drive after dark and she only has her restricted. Daddy: I'm not Lara's mom and you will do what the law says which is no driving after 8:00. ....long pause..... Erin: well, I'll drop the car off and ride with Lara. LOL Yesterday, she drove to school for a meeting and then offered to stop by Nanny's and pick Claire up on the way home. Today, Claire had a little money and wanted to go to Walmart....so Erin took her. Bobby said he would be Erin wanted to....ahhh sisterly bonding! Now she has driven over to her grandparents to work on her summer reading. That child is going to need a car....sending ESP hints to the grandparents! LOL Oh, Claire hit the lottery the other night. Bobby plays pick 3 numbers sometimes....one for Claire, one for Erin, one for me, and two for him. Well, Claire's numbers hit and she won $290!! (hence the money to spend at Walmart...which was $12.) Immediately after cashing in, she bought a skateboard (bad idea IMO) but she claims she only sits on it to ride and she bought elbow pads, knee pads, wrist protectors (already has a helmet) and then $250 went in the bank in a savings account. I don't think has a clue how much money that is. Well, school starts on Wednesday. We have the Parents Club picnic Tuesday night (back to school picnic) and it is always so freakin hot. We wouldn't have to go now that Erin is driving but of course Claire wants to go. She will get a year book this year and is really excited. I don't know why they give out year books at the first of the year for the previous year. Erin is secretary of the junior class this year so she is going to be very busy. They have to plan Fall Festival, Prom, etc. She is also involved in the Youth in Government....so who knows....maybe she;ll be an attorney or politician?? BTW, Gina, I totally loved that book that you sent me! I have never read that author before and will definitey find some more books by her! Now,off to catch up on other folks blogs....thanks to the stupid web blocker at work that won't let me get to them. Anyone now a way to get around a web blocker?? LOL

I'm such a boring blogger....never anything to say. First of all though.....what happened to Kim's blog?? We get Sara's back and now Kim is gone! It is finally raining and cooler here. I love it! It has been so miserabely hot and humid. Not much going on here. seems like all I do is work and then I don't feel like doing anything on the weekends. Erin turns 16 next week. Where did the time go???? She wants a car...hahahaha....I hate to tell her but Mom is getting a new car before she does (unless her grandparents buy it for her). I'm expecting mine to fall apart at anytime. Won't be much longer before Bobby's is paid for and we can start making payments on another one....yay. Gosh, I never have anything to talk about. We are going to the race in Bristol in a couple of weeks. Ah, the night race...most coveted race tickets in Nascar. Then the next week we are going to see Godsmack, Rob Zombie and Shinedown. Can't wait for that. Only problem is that Shinedown is the opening band (who we really love) and then we have to suffer throught Rob Zombie. We'll have to leave here early to get there because the traffic gets so bad and I don't want to miss Shinedown. Now that I have bored everyone..... I'm outta here! LOL

It seems like all of my updates start with....sorry it has been so long! First of all, they put some kine of stupid web blocker on our computers at work so I can't get to hardly any web sites....not even my blogs! But I can still get on AOL. Go figure. I guess I should be happy about that. We had a good time in Pigeon Forge but I was definitely glad to be home again. By the time it was over, the girls were so tired of "togetherness" that they were constantly fighting. We went to Dollywood, it was okay but very hot and Claire didn't enjoy it much. We wanted to go the magic show but the line was RIDICULOUS!!!!!!! We went to the Dixie Stampe which was a lot of fun. It is a really good show. We played putt putt. Bobby and Claire each got a pair of mocassins. We went to the Ripley Aquarium. There was a river right under our balcony at the hotel so at night, I would take my book and booklight and go sit out and listen to the river while I read(after everyone else was in bed). But like I said, it was good to get home. The little guy Erin met at Salkahatchie, well, a couple of Sundays ago, he came to our church and spent the whole today together. He is a cutie!! I don't know what is going on with them because she doesn't like to talk about it. Right now, she is in Virginia with the inlaws visiting Bobby's brother. She is going to the Warped Tour on Tuesday....that is her birthday present (since she can't have a car! LOL) She had said that Evan might go to Warped Tour (but would have to skip his second day of school...hmmmm). I'll see what I can whittle out of her when she gets back. They start school in about two weeks....can't wait....but in a way I can because that means I have to get up earlier too!! I can't believe Erin is going into the 11th grade and Claire into the 2nd.
Gina....thank you soooo much for my book and CD!!!! It is definitely the kind of book I like and I haven't already read it! YAY!! You should have heard me and Bobby trying to guess who the songs on the CD were by! LOL thank you so much!! That was so sweet and definitely a bright spot in my day/week!! I got your realty cards too....almost through it out without opening it until I realized it was from you!! I have your cards in my billfold in case anyone is looking to move to your area!!
Well, that should be all for now. I'm sure you are all bored to death. BTW....does Sara still have a blog??
