Okay....weekly update!

Well, we sent Erin off to Chester, SC yesterday for her mission trip. Its called Salkahatchie and she will be working on repairing peoples houses....scary thought! LOL She took a hammer, a tape measure, a paintbrush, and protective glasses. She bought "cheap" shorts from Walmart (gasp!) and some tshirts from Goodwill to work in. We are in the process of planning a family vacation. We are going to Pigeon Forge. Got a nice little hotel with a balcony overlooking the river. We'll go to Dollywood and the Dixie Stampede. I might even talk Bobby into some white water rafting. On the lower Pigeon Forge, they will take ages 4 to 88 so Claire will be able to go. I'm sure it will be a pretty calm ride but I think she will enjoy it and Bobby might catch the white water rafting bug (hahaha). We are looking forward to it....except Erin (of course, typical teenager). She went a few years ago on spring break and she claims once you've been, you don't need to go again. Tough...she is going anyways!! LOL I got my yearly evaluation at work. It went well....got a nice bonus (for vacation) and a little raise. I had to fill out a self evaluation and did not like that. Asked what I liked least about my job....which is filling in at the front desk. So that was on my eval and that I don't volunteer for additional work....well hell, I can't get the work done that I have now so why would I volunteer for more??? Wouldn't that be stupid?? Anyways, it went well. My folks pool is FINALLY open! We went out there yesterday and today. It is so freakin hot here....90's...upper 90's. And of course, thunder storms almost every day. I don't mind though unless it is while I'm trying to drive home. Oh, and two of our favorite bands are coming to Charlotte. Godsmack and Shinedown. Just bought tickets. Of course, Rob Zombie will be there too and he doesn't do much for me but oh well. Unfortunately the only tickets available were lawn seats. I told Bobby we ARE NOT leaving if it rains. (We had to leave the Red Hot Chili Peppers because of rain). He plans on bringing a poncho! LOL I guess that is all for now. Gina....we'll have to plan some swimming meets!!

Hey guys!

Sorry it has been a while. Been pretty busy. Last weekend, we had company from Michigan. It was old friends of ours that used to live here...haven't seen them in 15 years! They have twin boys....12 years old. It was really nice. Picked up right where we left off, like 15 years had never passed. Some things never change. I hope it won't be another 15 years before we see them again! This past week, we had Vacation Bible School and as I am sure you all know, that will totally wipe you out. I had the 3 and 4 year olds....about 15 to 20 of them. Now that was tough! It went Sunday through Friday and I am so glad it is over. It is rough working all day and then immediately heading to VBS. Erin helped in the class and she was a huge help. We did some kind of archeology theme and they gave us vest...which they wanted us to decorate. Hello?? When do I have time?? So I gave Claire some permanent markers and had her decorate it for me. Well guess what? We tied for first place in the contest! I was so proud of her....and a little suprised because there were some really cool looking vests!
I had to do the quick restore on my computer because it wouldn't work right. Of course, I lost everything but whatever. Waiting on my mom to get back from shopping so we can go visit. She got back from England this week and I haven't seen her yet. Plus I think Erin is having computer withdrawls and needs to get online to touch base with her friends! LOL
